Food in Tents
Q:Can we store food in our tents?
A:No. Please do not bring or store food in tents as it will attract insects and animals. If you have special diet needs please speak to the chef or operations manager you are welcome to store anything you may need to refrigerate in the Hub kitchen.
Q:What are the cooking facilities?
A:All packages are all inclusive. Our meals are inspired by our award winning Gold Seal Chef and are sure to satisfy even the pickiest eater! Please let us know before your trip if you have special dietary requirements or allergies. If you catch a fish at the resort or with fishing charter, you can let the chef prepare it for you or you are welcome to use the BBQ and cook your own fish!
Q: What is the minimum stay?
A:We require a minimum two night stay. However, a caution from previous guests… “we wish we had planned to stay longer – leave plenty of time for this stop on your vacation…”
Q: If we want to fish, how can we do that?
A:You can fish off the dock with equipment available on site or we can arrange a half to full day fishing trip. Some of the best fishing is right in front of the resort!
Q: Is there good diving in the area?
A:Yes! If you are a diver, we can help you arrange for a group dive through Porpoise Bay Charters in Sechelt Inlet. Dive locations include the sunken ship Chaudierre, Tzoonie Narrows and Agammemnon Channel/Skookumchuck.
Q: Can I mountain bike at Wilderness Resort?
A:No. Our trails are not designed for bikes at this time.
Q: Can we hike the Skookumchuck Trail to see the world-famous rapids?
A:Certainly. We will help you pick a day and time with best views of the rapids at their highest flow or ebb, and help you arrange a water taxi to and from Egmont for the hike.
Q: Can I bring my computer and will I actually get a signal?
A:Absolutely! High speed wireless internet access is available at Wilderness Resort so even though you have left civilization in reality, you can still keep in touch virtually. Please note: telephone calling is limited to internet (ie Whatsapp, Skype) calling at this time.
What to bring – Linens/Towels
Q: Do I need to bring my own linens and towels?
